Happy 4th of July!

Happy Independence Day! This is one of my favorite holidays of the whole year! Like always, we had a GREAT day!

Firecracker 5K
Bailey ran the Firecracker 5K in the morning. She wants to get use to running the 5K distance for when HS XC starts. She did AWESOME! She placed high enough in the overall standings to win herself a cash prize of $25. Way to go Bailey!

XC runners! JD, Mason, Maren, Grace, Coen, and Bailey. All these kids  are awesome runners!
Finishing strong!
Parade
We went to the parade in the morning. We love the parade, because we always know so many people in it.

Papa, Elder Varvel, Grammy, and Mark.
Waiting for the parade to start!
Love these two girls!
We sat across from the Hoplas and Whiteheads, so the guys threw candy back and forth at each other.
Dani and Madalyn with Elder Varvel! Next year we will have the real Sawyer back for the parade!
Stadium of Fire
We love the Stadium of Fire each year! This year was awesome as usual! It was hosted by J.R. Martinez. There was special appearances by Studio C, and the headliner was Carrie Underwood! The whole show was great!

Bailey drove us to Malad! She did great! At one point she stressed out because she had to sneeze and didn't want to shut her eyes. I had a good laugh over that one!
Once she was done driving and we didn't have to be quiet anymore, the fun in the car got started! These two are pretty crazy!
Hahahaha!

Even though Savannah is an Aggie, we still had them pose with the cougar before we went into the stadium.
We had to have our traditional frozen lemonade!
Savannah, Elder Varvel, and Bailey. Sawyer LOVES Carrie Underwood, and was so bummed he was missing this!
The Stadium of Fire dancers!
This is how they bring the flag in each year. It is so awesome!
Bailey loves Studio C, so she was so excited that they were there!
Skits by Studio C!
Carrie Underwood was AWESOME! She is classy, cute, and has an amazingly powerful voice!

After the show and fireworks were over, we went to the parking lot party for a few minutes, then went to play Yatzee in the field we parked in while we waited for the traffic to clear out.

Busting the moves at the parking lot party! Hahahaha!

We love celebrating this great country we are blessed to live in! I can't wait to do this all over again next year. The best part is that Sawyer will be with us!!!
