Hawk Fest

Hawk Fest was SO AWESOME! We got home from our Stadium of Fire trip, and had just enough time to shower and head out to this big concert. It was such a busy, and very fun weekend! We got there 2 hours early so we could get a good spot in the front. It was totally worth it!

Savannah, Elder Varvel, and Bailey waiting for the concert to start.
This concert was our anniversary present!
John King kicked it off! He was so stinking cute, and so good! We loved him right from the start. He put on a great show and was so personable with the crowd! He announced that he would be signing autographs and taking pictures with people right when he got done performing. The girls went right over to the spot, and were the first few in line. He was so cute with them! He signed Bailey's hat, and took selfies with them. She took the first few selfies, but he said that just wouldn't do, because her arms weren't long enough. So he took her phone from her and started taking them. She loved every second of it :)!

Selfies!
I'm pretty sure Bailey has a new crush!
Could this picture be any cuter?!?
Next was Gloriana. They were the ones I was most excited to see, and it turns out they were my least favorite. They sang great, but they weren't very interactive with the crowd.

Then the fun really got started with Craig Morgan! He was SO funny! He was a great performer and had us cracking up too!

Martina McBride was the final performer. One of the most powerful voices in country music, and so classy too! She was AMAZING! Bailey and Savannah got right in front of the stage for her whole show. Martina even touched their hands! The girls were so excited! Me and Mark stayed back a few rows in our original spot and ended up being surrounded by drunk people! Some of them were already wasted before the show even started, and by the time Martina came on, they could hardly stay on their feet! I wasn't sure if the show or the people around us were more entertaining to watch. I've never seen so many rednecks in one place before! So funny!

We had a great weekend! I hope Idaho Falls keeps bringing big names here for concerts! It was fun to have this in our own town!
