July Cooking Through The States: Utah

Utah was our state for July. This was a fun one! Utah is known for their pioneer heritage, and with that, their dutch over cooking. So our main dish was dutch over cheesy ham and potatoes. Utah is also known for their delicious sweet corn, so that was our vegetable. Mark and I use to buy the sweet corn from road side stands when we lived there. So good! And of course the dinner wouldn't be complete without green jello. Mark made a really yummy lime and pineapple jello dish.

The dessert was so dang good! Utah is known for their fried scones, so Amanda took charge of that and knocked it out of the park. She fried up scones, and made the yummiest honey butter. So stinking good!

The guys definitely approved!

Not Utah related, but earlier in the month we had Andrew (Sawyer's life long best friend) and his family over to see the animals. Amanda made these cupcakes, and not only did they look fantastic, but they tasted fantastic!

And on a final food note, I got some rhubarb from Joyce and Phil. I've never baked with rhubarb before, so I tried a cobbler. So good!
