Snowboarding!

Bailey tried snowboarding for the first time! Her and Savannah went up to Kelly's for night boarding. She thought it was tons of fun, but she said that every part of her body is either bruised or sore. It was hard for them to get pictures because it was dark, but they managed a few.

Super excited!

Pedicures!

Me, Bailey, and Savannah went to the mall the day after Christmas to get pedicures. Now we have cute toes with snowflakes on them. Bailey also gave me a coupon to get a purse for Christmas, so I went to pick that out.

Cute toes!
I wish Santa was still there for pictures, but he had already gone back to the North Pole.

Merry Christmas!

We had a great Christmas! It's nice once all the crazy preparation is finished and we can just enjoy a relaxing day with our family.
Christmas Eve
We skipped a lot of our Christmas Eve traditions this year. We just had a relaxing day visiting with friends, watching Christmas movies, and having a nice dinner.
Bailey made her first pie crust!
Chase brought over this awesome Batman blanket for Bailey!
Texas presents from Elder Varvel!
Bailey loved her shirt from Sawyer!
A Texas blanket for me!
 Christmas
Christmas was great! Bailey got up at 4:30 in the morning! I thought teenagers were supposed to sleep in! Mark wouldn't let her come in and get us till 6:00, so she just hung out in her room counting down the minutes. Crazy kid! After we opened presents, we just hung out watching new movies, playing with stuff Bailey got, and doing a puzzle while we waited for Sawyer to call.

Santa came!
Stocking!

She loves Puzzles! One of these was already finished the day after Christmas!
Batman jammies!
Bailey wants to go skydiving for her 18th birthday. So, just as a practice round, we got her a Utah adventure that consists of indoor skydiving, indoor surfing, and indoor rock climbing. She's pretty excited!
A few presents for Elder Varvel. I have to keep him current on all the books and movies he's missing.
Eleven pounds of Nutella should last her awhile!
Nice photo bomb by Mark!
The best part of our day was skyping with Elder Varvel! We got to talk to him for about 2 hours! He looked and sounded so great! He definitely still has his same crazy sense of humor. He had us laughing most of the time. He loves his mission, and is having so many great experiences! 5 1/2 months and he'll be home!

I miss this face so much!
Bailey and Elder Varvel! She misses him a lot! It's crazy how much these two act alike. She was teasing him by telling him that when he gets back they can go on double dates, and that she'll be able to drive him around. He doesn't like either of those things!
Savannah with her favorite missionary! :)
He was being so funny when we were taking pictures. For this one he took off his glasses and gave us his best smolder.
One puzzle done!
Rocky the Snowman
We had a white Christmas! It snowed a lot on Christmas Eve. Mark had to spend some time clearing the driveway on Christmas night, so me and Bailey decided to go out and make a snowman. He turned out so cute! We named him Rocky.

A white Christmas!
We couldn't make snowballs and stack them on top of each other, because the snow was too powdery. So, we just mounded him up as best we could.
He's pretty cute!
His eyes and mouth were M&Ms, his nose was a pickle, and his buttons were rolos.
We were freezing!
She was so proud of her little friend!
We're grateful for the Christmas season we've had. Grateful that we could spend lots of time together as a family. We're especially grateful for the reason we celebrate....the birth of our Savior. His birth, life on earth, atonement, death, and resurrection make it possible for me to live for eternity with my family. There is no greater gift than that.

Museum of Idaho Performance

Mark and Bailey had round one of their Museum of Idaho performances. It was an hour long performance, so they mixed some fun non-Christmas songs into the line up. It was their first time performing several of the songs, and I loved them all! The Hughes family, and the Bruce family came to listen to them. It's always nice when they get to perform for friends.
She found Santa!
A picture with Santa for Elder Varvel!
They did a great job!
This was their first time performing 'I'll Make a Man Out of You' from Mulan. Her guitar was a little loud, but the song was so cute! I loved it!

This was their first time doing Radioactive too.

A few days later they played there again.

Hahaha! Find Elder Varvel!

Christmas Guitar Recital

Bailey had her Christmas guitar recital. She has two guitar students of her own now, and one of them got to perform at the recital. I think she was more excited for Drew then she was about her own song. He played 'Jingle Bells' from the Alfred book. That's the first song Bailey ever played at a recital when she started taking guitar over 7 years ago. It was so fun to see it come full circle. He's the cutest little guy, and he did a great job! Bailey and Mark played 'Mary Did You Know,' and did a great job too.

Drew gave Bailey the sweetest Christmas present. He must know that popcorn is the way to her heart! :)

My favorite guitar people! Seth, Bailey, and Mark.

Cupcake Party!

On the Friday that school got out for the Christmas break, Bailey had some friends over to make cupcakes and watch Elf. These girls are pretty dang cute! I'm just gonna come right out and say it....they aren't the best when it comes to decorating cupcakes, but they can sure quote the whole Elf movie without missing a beat! :)

Here's what their cute cupcakes looked like.

Cute girls!
No school for two weeks! Let the Christmas fun begin!

Annual Friend Party!

I love my friends! Every year Misty, Becky, Michelle, Lesa, and I get together to exchange gifts and have dinner. We usually go to a restaurant, but then they close and kick us out before we're ready to be done. So, this year we had Mark pick us up chinese food, and we had our party at my house! We started at 6:00, and Michelle wouldn't let anyone go home until 2:00 in the morning! So funny! Our families wonder what we can possibly do for that long, but we manage to have a great time! Lots of laughing goes on!

I wish I would have remembered to take more pictures, but this is the only one I took.

Sandcreek Ward Performance

The Sandcreek Ward had a nice adult dinner for their Christmas party. Mark and Bailey were invited to perform. It was so fun to see all of our friends and neighbors that we don't get to see as much anymore. Good times!

Obviously they didn't feel a lot of pressure since it was a room full of people they've known for a lot of years.
