Reeses Had Surgery

Poor Reeses had to have surgery. It was the saddest thing! She had a few lumps on her belly that they were pretty sure were just fatty tissue, but they were growing fast, so the vet suggested getting them removed. We dropped her off at the vet on a Friday morning, and picked her up the same day at 3:00. Everything went good. My poor puppy was so drugged up she could barley walk in a straight line. There was no way she could get in the car, so Mark had to lift her in. She couldn't get out of the car when we got home either. It was the saddest thing to watch! :( She was out of it that whole day, and through the night. She was a little more awake the following day, but very sore, so she just laid around. By Sunday she was back to her crazy self, and trying to explain to a crazy, hyper dog that they have stitches, so they can't run around is next to impossible! We have done our best to keep her calm, but this is Reeses we're talking about. By day four, we could take her on little short walks. She has to have her stitches in for 2 weeks, and I'm pretty sure she will go stir crazy by then.

Poor puppy! Don't mind the crazy eyes; she was so drugged up, that her eyes were rolling back.

Oreo was so worried about her. Sweet little besties!

The second day she was much more alert and bright eyed!

Sawyer's New Car

Sawyer bought his first car! It's a super nice 2016 Ford Focus. He sold the Rav 4 to Kaija, so it's still around. He was just ready for un upgrade. He needed something newer and more reliable. Good job adulting Sawyer!

Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend! It was nice to have everyone home, plus Bailey did a lot of the cooking, so that was a bonus! We had Noah here too, and he's always tons of fun! We had a yummy dinner, then played Quiplash about a gazillion times. Bailey and I did TONS of Black Friday shopping, and we still manages to finish a puzzle over the weekend. We also watched Boise State get a big win over Utah State during the break!

Bailey was in charge of decorating the table for Thanksgiving, and she did a great job.

She even made the cute name cards, and silver ware holders.

She might be good at decorating tables, but she could use some practice cutting the cranberries!
While Bailey cooked, this is what the guys did! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Birthday Bailey!

Happy 19th birthday Bailey! We were in Boise a couple days before Bailey's birthday, so we took her out to a fun asian restaurant for her birthday, and let her open her presents. She got the New Tim Ballard book, Slave Stealers, and a Garmin fitness watch. We were worried that her actual birthday was going to be dumb, because she was away from home, and we had already celebrated with her earlier in the week. But, she had a great day! She has great roommates and friends that made it awesome! She woke up to her apartment all decorated, and fun notes and presents from her roommates. Sydney surprised her later in the day with yummy cookies while they were at the library studying.
I still can't believe my youngest child is 19 years old! What the heck!?!

Fun presents!

Yummy birthday dinner!

A decorated apartment!

Happy birthday! Love ya tons Bailey Rae!

Boise State Homecoming!

We spent a fun weekend in Boise for the BSU vs. BYU homecoming game. We also celebrated Bailey's birthday while we were there. It was a really fun trip! When we got there on Friday, we hauled a bunch of food up to Bailey's dorm room to get her all restocked. We showed Sawyer and Kaija around campus a little bit while Bailey was working on the HSA float for the homecoming parade. When she was done, we went on a long walk along the river. Then we took Bailey out for her birthday dinner and let her open her presents.

We messed around for awhile in the book store while Bailey worked on the float for the parade.

Getting the HSA golf cart ready for the homecoming parade!

A beautiful fall day on the river.

It was so fun to get all caught up with Bailey's college life.
On Saturday we went on a short run along the river in the morning, then we went to lunch at a yummy place downtown. While we were waiting for our lunch table, we went and checked out Freak Alley. On our way back to campus, we saw that the library was having a huge book sale. We got lots of books! Then we watched the homecoming parade, and cheered loud for Bailey. Then it was off to the homecoming game! At the pregame booths, I won a $50 Amazon card, and Bailey won free smoothies for a year. The football game was intense! It literally came down to the last play! Boise pulled out the win! Mark was so torn on who he should be cheering for. We are both BYU alumni, but I was cheering for where my money and daughter went. I think Mark secretly wanted BYU to pull out the win.

Freak Alley

Mark got a little carried away at the book sale! We had to carry this box of books for a mile!

Let's go BSU!

Bailey and Sydney

Sawyer and Kaija

On the blue turf!

Super fun and intense game! We picked a great one to go to!

On Sunday we went to church with Bailey and then left to head home.

We played pool at Bailey's dorm while we waited for church to start.
Such a fun trip! We can't wait to go back over for a basketball game!

Car Accident

I got in a car accident on the first day of November. Not a great way to start the month. It was so scary! And to make it worse, it was my fault. I'm grateful no one was hurt, but I'm so sad about my car! :( I love my car! It's in the shop right now getting fixed, so hopefully it will be back to new soon.

So sad!

The Haunted Forest

We went on our annual dinner and haunted house date with the Hughes. This year we had Sawyer and Kaija come with us. We ate at a new Mexican restaurant in town and then went to the Haunted Forrest, which wasn't even a little bit scary. It was a super long line and very dumb. That was disappointing, but it was still fun to catch up with Keith and Jenni.
