So Dang Cute!

Every once in awhile I send pictures to Bailey of her pups. I decided to put some on my blog because they are so dang cute and happy! Oh, if only people could be as easy going, agreeable, and happy as my pups!

I love that cute little gray muzzle of hers! I call her my little old lady!

Sweetest little face! That look is why they get so many treats!

I was sitting down putting my shoes on. They were happily staring at me, waiting for me to say the magic words, "Do you want to go on a walk?"

Ruby Bucket Retreat- Shine Bright!

I love the Ruby Bucket Retreat! This year the theme was SHINE BRIGHT, and just like always, Esther and Stephanie did an awesome job! I scrapbooked and took a couple of classes on Friday. Then I was back at it on Saturday! I got 35 pages done!

Shine Bright was a super fun theme!

Taking Esther's card class.

Esther, Jocie, Tricia, (missing Vickie). We're always at the same table. I love these scrapbook buddies! Don't mind what I look like. I had to get up early and do a 10 mile training run with Mark in the foothills. It had already taken too much time from my day, so I rinsed off, through on some clothes, and headed back to the retreat. No makeup, and crazy hair, but I got a lot done!

Good times with a fun group of people!

These were from the two classes I did.
I had the perfect pictures to finish off the layout class I did.

All the pages I got done while I was there!

Boise Zoo

When Mark and I brought Bailey over to Boise for college orientation in the summer, we needed a way to entertain ourselves while she was on campus. We went to the Boise Zoo, and loved it. Bailey had never been before, so when I went over to visit her for the drag show, we went. We had a great time!

This bear was darling, and he hung out right by the glass with us for a while.

Bailey laughed so hard at the prairie dog exhibit. She thought she'd pop up and see prairie dogs, but when she popped up and saw other people looking at her in the dome, she was dying. She was laughing so hard.

Then when she saw me and realized I was barely tall enough to see out, she lost it all over again!

Look closely at the drool hanging off this guys mouth.

Don't worry, college hasn't matured her one bit!

She made a friend! Hahaha, he was kind of a messed up llama, but we liked him!

We had lots of fun with the penguins!
One of the penguins was trying to eat Bailey's little bag through the glass.

The baby giraffe was so cute!

This frog was cracking us up!

We saw that there was a time you could feed the giraffes. We waited until the very end and went over. We were the only ones there, so the zoo keepers let us stay for a long time and feed him all the rest of the lettuce. So fun!

BSU Drag Show

I went to Boise for a quick 24 hour trip. Bailey is the co president of the hall council, and Alec is her supervisor. He is involved with the drag community in Boise, and wanted to put on a drag show at Boise State to educate the community about drag, in a safe and comfortable environment. Bailey wanted to support Alec, and there so no way I was going to miss it! We would never go to a bar or club to see something like this, and BSU is an alcohol free school, so it was a chance we couldn't pass up! We had a BLAST! Bailey kept saying it was the most fun she's had in college so far! Hahaha, it's definitely not our usual scene, but it was very educational. They played a video at the beginning that explained some of the history of drag. They had places set up to get pictures with the queens. They served 'mocktails,' and gave us fake money to give to the queens, so we could get a feel for how a 'real' show would be. The theme was Disney, and it was advertised as 'family friendly'. There were a lot of kids there! It was all very tastefully done. Most of the time I forgot a was watching men dressed like women. It just seemed like a talent show to me. I've got to hand it to the queens though, they have a ton of artistic talent, and they put a lot of time, talent, and money into their shows. None of the queens were paid to be at this event. It was all voluntary, and they were all super nice and gracious that so many people took the time to go to the show. They filled the room to capacity and had to turn people away. I wish they would have had a question/answer portion, because there is so much I wanted to know, and it would have been a good place to ask. Maybe next year!

Alec is the guy between Bailey and Paige. He's been super good to Bailey this year!

Boise's first bearded queen.

The muses from Hercules.

Lion King

A performance from Alice in Wonderland.

Snow White

This performance was my absolute favorite! I was dying! She was the little girl on Nemo from the dentist's office that shakes the fish. So stinking hilarious!
This performance alone made the drive over worth it. I wish I would have filmed the whole thing, because it just kept getting better!

Moana

Bailey knows this queen! She's really good friends with his suit mate.

Good times!
