Happy St. Patty's Day!

Bailey loves St. Patrick's Day. Believe it or not, she actually toned it down this year! We found a way better shirt that said, "Pinch me and I'll punch you," but she didn't think they'd let her wear it at school!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Island Park Winter Adventure

For Valentine's Day I got Mark a winter adventure to Island Park. We went at the beginning of March, and had TONS of fun! We got off to a rocky start with car trouble. I love my car, and we've never had any trouble with it, but we have been talking about it being time to trade it in for a new one. I guess this was a sign. There was a super nice guy that towed us to his shop in Island Park and gave the car a quick fix to get us through the weekend. I liked him a lot because he kept calling us kids :)! "We'll get you kids taken care of." "You kids enjoy your weekend up here." That's nice to hear since we've been feeling old and crusty lately.

We stayed in a cute little cabin at Eagle Ridge Ranch. We're totally going back over the summer, because they have horse back riding!

After we got our car fixed, and checked into our cabin, we spent the rest of Friday Snowshoeing. I LOVED it! I love hiking, and it was just like it, only in the snow. I'm totally hooked! We went on trails at Harriman Park.

It was a beautiful weekend. Everything was so pretty!
I went off the trail to get a picture of the trumpet swans. I eventually ended up stuck up to my waist. Mark had to come get me out :)!

While we were gone, Savannah picked Bailey up from track, and they had a sleepover. They may have had more fun than we did! They ate a lot, face timed Braydon, and watched movies until 2:00 in the morning.

Dinner at Carinos.
Hahaha!
I busted up laughing when Bailey sent me pictures of them trying to move the queen mattress up the stairs!
I'm not sure how they did it, but somehow they managed!
Cute girls!
On Saturday me and Mark went back to Harriman Park and cross country skied. At first I didn't love it,  but as the day went on and I started to get the feel for what I was doing, it grew on me. By the time we were done I really liked it!

We had a great time! We want to bring Bailey up to try it all next winter.

National History Day

Bailey has a class at school called Big History. They had a really big district project due for National History Day. The theme this year was RIGHTS, so Bailey did music Censorship. We constructed a stage for her project and put all the information on it. She even had people on the stage holding up signs saying how they were censored. It turned out cute, but was a huge pain in the butt! She's a hard worker though, and made sure it was HER that actually did the project. She isn't the type to hand it off to her parents (even though sometimes we wish she would).

With a lot of direction from Mark, they spent 5 hours building and painting the stage.
Curtains added!
I helped her to get all her information on the stage. One side had a timeline of the history of music censorship. The other side had quotes from artists with their opinions of censorship. She also had to write a paper on it.
This is the finished project.
Good job Bailey!

Happy LOVE Day!

Happy Valentine's Day!
We sent a fun package to Elder Varvel for Valentine's Day!
My wedding ring broke a few months back, so I had been wearing a little gold band to hold me over. I got a new wedding ring for Valentine's Day! I picked out one that is totally different than anything I thought I would wear, and I LOVE it! Thanks Mark!

My ring!

Bailey got all set up to make her own kettle corn! Since the day is all about love, we knew that popcorn needed to be involved!
I got my ring a couple weeks before Valentine's Day, so I still woke up to a present on the counter. He wanted me to have something for that day too. I sure know how to pick em! Sorry ladies, he's taken :)!
I got Mark a winter adventure in Island Park! We are going to snowshoe on a Friday, spend the night up there at Eagle Ridge Ranch, and then cross country ski on Saturday. We're so excited! We've been wanting to try snowshoeing and cc skiing for a few years now, so it will be fun to finally do it.

Here she is making her first batch of kettle corn!

Super Bowl

We went to the Temple's house to watch the Superbowl again this year. I mostly messed around with Bailey and Savannah, so I didn't really watch a whole lot of the game. I was trying to get a good picture of them to send to Sawyer, but they would have none of that. I'm not sure if a picture without one of them pulling a face is even possible!

Savannah, Kassie, Bailey, and Emersyn
Hahaha, they are DORKS!
Here's the crew!
All the kiddos were so good! They just hung out in the toy room the whole time, and we barely even knew they were there.
We did reenact the pickle picture from the previous year to send to Sawyer though :)!

We ate WAY to much food, laughed a lot, and barely watched the game. That's my kind of party! Thanks Temples!
