Bailey got in a little accident on the way home from school. It was snowy, and she was coming up to the round-a-bout. She wasn't going very fast, but she hit a patch of ice, and couldn't stop. She hit the truck in front of her. You can see right where the ball of the hitch went into her car. Her poor car! ;( No one got hurt, and the damage wasn't really bad to either vehicle, but it shook her up pretty good. She's an anxiety ridden, stress case anyways, so now she's afraid to drive. The few times she's driven since that, are only because we've made her. Right as the police officer was pulling up, another car did the exact same thing in the same spot. There were little accidents all over the place that afternoon and into the night. We tried to explain to her that she's a good driver, and sometimes those things just happen. She had a car full of kids, and that's what scared her. Her mind is playing the 'what if' game. What if she would have caused people to get hurt? Hopefully she'll bounce back fast. She actually held it together really good, until we dropped the last of her friends off, and then she broke down crying. I think she just needed to let it all out. Even when she was crying she tried to look on the bright side. She said that Heavenly Father knew exactly what she needed, and she started listing all the blessings she noticed. She said the guys in the truck that she hit were super nice, the police officer was super nice, she had Mason with her, and he kept her calm and helped her a ton, no one got hurt, etc. She fell off a horse once and got hurt, and I thought she'd never want to ride again. Instead, she decided to take riding lessons. Now she can jump horses, and she's an awesome rider. Maybe the same thing will happen, and she'll turn into a race car driver. :) We'll just keep making her drive, and she'll relax back into the swing of things eventually.
