Mt. Timpanogos Hike

I've wanted to hike Mt. Timpanogos since our college days at BYU. I finally decided that we would do it this summer. It was such an awesome hike! Bailey keeps saying that she wants to go back and do it again! It was totally worth the drive down to Utah!

Mt. Timpanogos!
These two were troopers! Savannah hasn't done much hiking, and we initiated her with a hard 16 mile one. She did great!
The wildflowers were so pretty!
When we were taking this picture, 80 cross country runners from Davis HS went running by! They were running up to the summit and back. It was awesome!
This was what our view was like most of the day!
This is the summit of Mt. Timp that we were heading up to.
Almost to the ridge where the fun got started!
Taking a break at the saddle, before we started the final climb.
Part of the climb along the ridge got a little scary. The girls did fine, but Mark doesn't do too well with heights.
We had to hike right through the clouds to reach the summit! Bailey said she could feel her hair getting bigger and bigger :)!
They felt like they were on top of the world, and we weren't even to the top yet!
Once we made it to the top, we signed the register, and left Bailey's business card there.
Signing the hut!

Sitting on top of the world! This was the coolest place!

On the way back down we ran into some cute mountain goats! They were on the trail, and we were only about 30 feet from them! It is so amazing how they can climb and walk around on the ridges up there!
Mark and this guy rounded a corner at the same time and scared each other! So cool!
Heading back down the mountain!
I love this picture!
The clouds finally cleared on the Utah Valley side as we were heading down. We had an amazing view of Utah Lake and the whole valley.

We had a great day! We are going to have to go back and do it again with Sawyer!
