Dog Bite

While Bailey and I were running in the Tetons with no phone signal, Mark got attacked by a dog in Kelly Canyon. He was running and he saw two teenagers with two dogs. They grabbed the pit bull by the collar, and didn't seem to worry about the other dog. Mark chatted with them for a minute, and then when he started to run off, the other dog went at him from behind. It grabbed his thigh and tore it open pretty good. One of the boys tackled the dog to hold it down, and the other one freaked out when he saw how bad Mark's leg was. Mark is assuming that when he went to run off, he startled the dog. He had his trekking poles, so that might have had something to do with it. The boys were camping up there with their grandma, and said Mark could go to her trailer for first aid supplies. Mark just wanted out of there in case the pit bull decided to take a bite out of him too. He stopped on the way home, and bought some super glue. He totally needed stitches, but he will do anything to avoid a needle. He cleaned it out really good, and Mason super glued it together for him. This is why these guys should not be left home without supervision. 😂 They actually did a really good job, and it has healed up nicely.

This is the picture that showed up on our phones once we got back into cell phone range. Needless to say, we were a little bit stressed out.

Ewww!

Good super glueing job Mason!
