Cooking Through the States: April

We're still going with our monthly 'Cooking Through the States' night. April was Washington, and it was one that was very new to me. We did clam chowder, salad, and bread for dinner, and Amanda made cherry pie for dessert. I've never even tasted clam chowder before, let alone made it. It was pretty easy, and everyone seemed to like it. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. I was kind of indifferent to it. I don't think it will go in my normal soup rotation, but now I know that if I get served clam chowder somewhere, I could definitely eat it. Trying new things is what this is all about.
