Frightmares & Halloween

We usually go all out for Halloween. Family costumes, haunted houses, parties, etc... This year I told the kids we should skip all the Halloween 'stuff' we normally do, and go to Frightmares at Lagoon instead. I'm so glad we did! Frightmares is so fun!

On our way!

This is how we roll :)!

The Spider was our first ride!

Wicked was one of the favorites. We had great weather, and hardly any lines, so it was perfect.

I was trying to get a picture of the four kids on the train. The boys were being dorks. I'll just keep trying...

 ...and failing!

We had fun with all the photo stands. I love how happy Sawyer looks to have his guts hanging out :)!

Bailey and Neesha did the Catapult! They are nuts! Bailey has wanted to do it for so long. I wouldn't let her when she was little, and then no one in our family would go with her when I thought she was old enough.  Neesha stepped in and saved the day :)!

They flung them so high!

All done, and still alive. They actually liked it!

Bailey and Neesha on the swings.

The swinging pirate ship.

The Samurai: Me and Sawyer sat this one out. We weren't sure how our tummies would handle it.

They had all kinds of creepers wandering around to scare people. They were very drawn to the girls, which was very entertaining for the rest of us.

This was a guard outside of the Lockdown (haunted prison).

They had lots of haunted walk throughs. The Backlot was our favorite. It was a bunch of scary movie scenes. At the end we got chased by a chainsaw guy. Sawyer ran me over to get out! I was there with a sprained ankle too, so I was already hobbling around. Way to be brave for the family Sawyer! The 17 year old boys refused to go in the front or the back, so the girls had to lead the way through most of the scary stuff.

I love Sawyer in this one. He's cracking up because the coaster came to a really fast stop and threw Andrew forward into the restraint bar.

We watched all the shows. These are the Hacken Slasher chain saw people. The kids thought all the shows were dumb. I think it's because they are used to the shows at the bigger parks, like Disneyland and Universal Studios.

Possibly my favorite picture of the whole trip!

Halloween
We have a whole basement full of costumes, but Bailey didn't want to be anything she has already been before. So she dressed like a zombie girl for school, and to hand out candy.

We're all set! Bring on the trick or treaters!

Bailey is our designated candy passer outer. She thinks it's ridiculous that teenagers go trick or treating. So, we have a 'good' candy bucket for the little kids, and then we have what we call a 'crap' candy bucket for when the older kids come. She is hilarious! She would literally give the teenagers ONE tootsie roll, and be so obvious about it. I had to walk away a few times because I was so embarrassed! She kills me!

Sawyer, Jordan, Sam, Brittany, Andrew and Pookie went on a date to Dr. Slaughters, and then back here later for dessert. Once the trick or treaters were gone, Bailey, Emily, Marlee and Kennedy watched a scary movie.

Sawyer and his friends went on a late night walk on the canal road. When they got back, they came in the yard through the back gate. Sam and Brittany went up and banged on the outside of the window right behind the girls heads. HILARIOUS! Me and Mark heard the banging, and then 4 girls screaming. We were upstairs cracking up!

We hope everyone's Halloween was as fun and frightening as our!
