Lincoln Stake Girl's Camp

"For Where Your Treasure Is There Will Your Heart Be Also"
-Matthew 6:21
Bailey had a great last year of Girl's Camp! It seems like we were just getting her ready for her first year when she turned 12, and now she's finished! It's times like these that I realize just how fast life moves along when you're having fun raising kids! She had amazing stake and ward leaders, that put so much time and effort into making sure the girls had a fun, and spiritual experience. She was a youth leader over the 2nd year girls, and loved them!
Monday- The youth leaders went up on Monday and rode horses! I'm sure Bailey loved every second of this! Mark went up and rode with them as a priesthood leader. He loved the area, and wants to go back up there to hike. Once the girls got to camp, they spent the day getting everything ready for the rest of the stake to arrive on Tues.
Tuesday- Hike day! Bailey is one of the few girls who actually loves hike day. They couldn't do Tablerock this year, because there was still too much snow. That was a bummer! Instead she got to help lead the first year girls on the Aspen Grove Hike. After the hike, they spent time getting to know the girls in their level. That night they watched Once There Was a Beehive.
Wednesday- The youth leaders spent time setting up for the value color run. Bailey was one of the girls in charge of the GOOD WORKS station. They braided jump ropes for the Humanitarian Center. After dinner, they had a glow in the dark dance party. Bailey said this was one of her favorite parts of camp. She had so much fun with her 2nd year girls! Wednesday was also Spiritual Night. She said it was awesome!
Thursday- They had a devotional activity where they went around to different stations, and learned from different leaders. Bailey said she also braided about a gazillion heads of hair! They had a CANDY EXTRAVAGANZA! Bailey said it was the coolest thing ever! SO MUCH CANDY! I wish she would have gotten a picture of it! Thursday was Bishop's Night. They met with the Bishopric, and all the girls/leaders from our ward. They had dinner, played some games, and had a small testimony meeting. I think later on Thursday night was also the testimony meeting for the individual levels. Bailey usually pulls an all nighter on the last night of camp. Bailey, Madi, Emily, the other 2nd year level leaders, and some of the second year girls crammed in the cabin and stayed up till the wee hours of the morning.
Friday- They had a closing devotional by Jensen Parrish Hall. Bailey and I heard her speak at Time Out for Women, and she is amazing! After that they packed up and came home!

Bailey's camera broke, so she didn't take a single picture! I was so bummed! We rounded up a few from some other people.

Horse back riding! This isn't even the horse she rode. I'm sure she went around and met them all! :)
You can tell by her smile how happy she was to be on a horse.
Aspen Grove Hike!
Emily, Madi, and Bailey have shared so many camps together. I'm so sad this era of their lives is over!
Ashley, Bailey, Elle, Madi, Sister Belnap, Anjenae
They got lost on their hike!
