Palisades In The Fall

Mark and I were going to do a nice easy run to Lower Palisades Lake and back to recover from our 50K. We got a group together, but then decided to go to the Upper Lake instead. Great choice! It doesn't matter how often we do this trail, or what season it is, we always love it! It never gets old. We missed the leaves changing by a couple weeks, but it was still very fall-ish. It was also 14 degrees when we started. Brrrr!

So pretty!

Cool picture! This part of the trail looked like something from Maleficent.

So many leaves!

Check out the icicles hanging off the log. This is what 14 degrees looks like on the trail.

The Lower Lake

Selfie at the Lower Lake. It was Angie's first time doing this trail.

I love fall trail running.

We took a quick picture at the Upper Lake, and ate really fast, because once we stopped, it got cold!

Matt was late getting to the trailhead so he told us to start without him. We saw him as we were heading back from the upper lake. He finished going up, and then caught us on the way back down. He was speedy!
