Florida Vacation-6 & 7

Day 6 & 7
Epcot Center
We planned 2 days at Epcot, because there is so much to do. We did most of the stuff in Future World the first day. Our favorite ride was Mission Space. You basically experience a space launch and then land on Mars. I thought it would make me sick, but it ended up being really fun. We also liked Innoventions. It's a "hands on" area, where you can do activities and play games.

Mission Space

There was a big area called The Seas With Nemo and Friends. The whole place was so cute. They even had real aquariums with sharks, rays, fish, and manatees.

In Innoventions there was a game to teach kids how to save money. It was so cute. Bailey loved it.

We got to ride a segway. It's not as easy as it looks.

Bailey went through a process in Innoventions to make her own paper. It was really cool.

This was her final product.

Mark and Bailey both got to be in a show called What's Your Problem. Mark had to diaper and feed as many babies as he could in 30 seconds, and then stick them to himself. It was pretty funny.

There were lots of futuristic games in Innoventions. The kids had fun playing all of them.

The second day we spent most of our time going from country to country. There were 11 countries in all: Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, America, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom, and Canada. There were movies, rides, shows, and fun places to eat in most of the countries. Bailey got a mask to decorate, and each time we went to a new country, they would hook something onto her mask. Some of the people would even write her name on the back in that language. Sawyer mostly just liked posing for funny pictures at all of the countries.

Mexico

Norway

Germany...famous for its beer.

Italy

The United States

Bailey with a Japanese story teller.

France

He was obviously having way too much fun in France.

Bailey and her mask after all 11 countries.

At the end of the first day in Epcot, we went to Norway to get some pastries. We were sitting in a patio type area (covered by a roof, but no side walls). It was raining, so we just stayed in that same spot and waited for the Fireworks show to start. All of a sudden it just down poured on us. Even being under the patio didn't keep people from getting drenched. The rain was coming down in horizontal sheets. I've never been in rain like that before. It looked like we had just stepped out of a swimming pool! It only rained hard like that for about 10 or 15 minutes, but it was enough to flood the park. Seriously crazy stuff. We were walking through ankle deep water to get out of the park. We had to wait until the next day to watch the fireworks show.

After the rain storm.
