Holy Hail!

We had the craziest storm I've ever seen in Idaho! We were in Shelley at a track meet when we got tornado warnings on our phones. We noticed how crazy the sky was looking around us. Bailey had the last two events of the meet, but when it was over, we started driving home. We were about 10 minutes from Idaho Falls when an emergency warning came on the radio to get inside immediately because there was going to be very large hail, and strong winds. There was lightening everywhere around us and the sky was black. We knew we needed to hurry, but we had to take Bailey to the high school to pick up her car. She was freaked out to drive home, but we told her she had to, because we couldn't leave her car out in the hail. We were trying to get home as fast as we could. We pulled both cars into the garage, and literally 30 seconds later mother nature went crazy! The whole house shook, and HUGE hail started coming down.  It even freaked out the dogs! It was cool to witness it, but it caused a lot of damage all over the city Our area was one of the hardest hit. They declared the city a catastrophe, so that made dealing with the insurance a lot easier. We have to replace our whole roof, all the siding on the front and side of our house, screens, window casings, gutters, and 6 sections of our fence. We're basically going to be under construction all summer! Our camp trailer (that we haven't even used yet) got hammered! They have to replace all the front and side panels, the vents on top, and the awning. Thank heavens for insurance! The damage on the trailer was $7,700, and the house and fence was about $22,000. Another crazy thing that happened during the storm made the national news. Over 100 geese were flying, and got struck by lightening. They all fell dead out of the sky and landed in a parking lot. So sad!

This is what all of our siding looks like!

Our poor house!

Some people have pictures with hail bigger than ping pong balls!

You can't really tell from this picture, because the lighting wasn't good, but our trailer is COVERED in dents! It should be fixed in about a month.

Here's a short video of the storm. Notice the holes it's putting in our siding!
