Jalapeno Anyone?

We planted our garden and then got a late freeze while we were up camping. We were so bummed! Some of the plants were effected, and others seemed to do fine. We planted a lot of jalapenos, because we wanted to pickle them. I thought for sure we had lost about 1/3 of the plants. Slowly they started coming back to life, and then they all got so heavy with jalapenos, they started tipping over! We made a haul! We got so many! We used all the stuff from our garden to bottle 21 jars of pickled jalapenos with carrots and onions. THEY ARE SO GOOD! We also had a gazillion cucumbers get huge all at once, so we made 5 jars of yummy relish. We had lots of fun with our garden this year!

This is just from 1 day of harvesting!

Our onions and carrots did really good!

Holy jalapenos! That's a ton! We still have a lot growing on the plants too!

It took me forever to cut them all up!

I did the growing, picking, cleaning, and cutting, and then Mark works his magic and bottles them. He makes them look so pretty too!

The first batch.

21 jars later! We ran out of carrots for the last batch.

Our yummy relish from our cucumbers. We were feeling pretty proud and domestic.
