Indian Creek Camping

Our fist camping trip of the season was great! We had the best spot up Indian Creek. We got there Thursday evening and set up camp. Then we went and hiked up Big Elk Creek to cover a route for our Lost Souls Challenge and dunked in the freezing cold creek for one of the secret missions. Brrrr! I will do a separate Lost Souls post with details and pictures once the challenge is over.

Friday morning we got up early and met some friends right down the road from our campsite to do a few more Lost Souls routes. We ran Spring Run, Blow Out Canyon, and Sheep Creek, which turned into quite and adventure. After that we hung out in camp reading, and relaxing.

On Saturday we met Michelle to do all the Fall Creek routes in one go! It was tough! It ended up being over a 24 mile day with lots of elevation, but we got it done. Lots more relaxing at camp after that!

We got to use our new camp chef for a yummy Sunday morning breakfast, and then we headed home. Hopefully we will have lots more camping adventures this summer.

We had a great spot right next to the creek.

In the short time we were there, the creek rose soooo much! It was crazy! The snow in the mountains must have been melting super fast.

We tried a new way to do s'mores. Little chocolate donuts cut in half with the marshmallow in the middle. So good!

Yum! We also tried dipping strawberries in marshmallow fluff and roasting them. That was yummy too!

We're really loving our new camp chef. I can't believe it took us so long to get one!

I can't wait to camp again, but this was a great start!
