March Runs

Kepps's/Eagle Pass:

Jen, Joyce, and I did a Kepp's/Eagle Pass loop. Apparently Kepp's still had a ton of snow, and it was quite deep from the drifts, so we had to hike through knee, and mid thigh deep snow for over a mile. It sucked, but we're no quitters, so we carried on. 😅 Once we got off this stretch, it was great! We had a nice run, saw a few eagles, lots of deer, and a moose.

They don't call it the Trail of Bone for nothing.

We didn't even need to go up the Trail of Bones. The trailhead had plenty of bones and carcasses.

Thursdays are always fun with these ladies!

Eagle Pass/Kepp's:

We are still limited to where we can run because of the snow, so we've been hitting the foothill roads to get the miles in. We did a Saturday morning group run down Eagle Pass, and up Kepp's for a cold 16 miler. This run was a struggle for me. I was not feeling it. Always easier with great company though.

Coming down Eagle Pass

It was a drizzly, overcast day, but the foothills looked  really pretty dusted with snow. We saw a huge herd of deer too.

Henry Canyon/Taylor Mountain Road:

We hit another dirt road for a beautiful run. We did a 10 mile out and back on Henry Canyon and Taylor Mountain roads.

Women's Run:

We had a great Women's Run at Boat Launch Park. We ran 3.14 miles in honor of pie day. 😀

IFTR Early Morning Run:

We only had one IFTR early morning group run in March. It was just Dan, Daniel, and I, so we changed plans and Dan showed a fun new trail in the foothills called Little Moose. I loved it!

The best part about the early runs in the spring and summer is the sunrises we get to see.

We got a bit off trail and had to run through a field. 😄

Eagle Pass/Kepp's:

Jen, Joyce, and I did another Thursday run on Eagle Pass and Kepps to end the month. We had sunshine, deer, and the best blue sky and clouds.

We watched a big herd of deer jump the tall fence.
