Stadium of Fire!

We went down to Utah for the Stadium of Fire. The show was awesome! We got to BYU a couple hours before the show started, so we decided to take the kids on a tour of campus. It has changed a ton since me and Mark were there. It was fun telling them all of our college stories.

Bailey and Sawyer with the cougar outside the stadium.

The kids in front of Brad's truck!

Waiting for the show to start.

When we were walking around campus, we told Sawyer about having him in the Field House with us a couple times a week when he was a baby. Me and Mark would switch him off between us while we had class. The football team always walked by where we were. Chad Lewis was so nice, and would always stop and talk to Sawyer. He had a baby about the same age. We told Sawyer he had gone on to play pro ball, and even had a Super Bowl ring. When we got to the show, Chad ended up being the host. It was pretty cool.

They had a lot of cool stuff before the concerts and fireworks. People parachuted into the stadium. One of them was flying the American flag. They had a fly over from the jets from Hill Air Force Base. Lots of dancers and singing, and a big talent contest.

David Archuletta sang the National Anthem at the Stadium of Fire when he was 12 years old. They had a clip of him singing the first line of it up on the big screen from back then. Then all of a sudden it was really him there singing the rest of it. It was super cool! His concert was great, like always. He did a great tribute to the soldiers that had just returned from overseas. We wished he could have performed for longer.

Then it was time for Brad Paisley. He was awesome!

When he sang the Fishing Song, he had big ugly fish swimming around on the big screen. It was pretty funny!

He is an amazing guitar player. That's why Sawyer was so excited to see him. He didn't disappoint.
When Brad was finished, the fireworks started. They were great! It was a perfect night, and we totally want to go again. I hope they have someone good performing next year.
