Mason's Xterra Mountain Triathlon

We spent a fun weekend in Ogden, Utah at Snow Basin to watch Mason compete in his first mountain triathlon. It was the Xterra Championship, so there were some big time athletes there. It was fun to watch! They were supposed to swim in a lake, then mountain bike, and then finish with a trail run. The lake ended up having some weird thing growing in it, so they couldn't swim in it. They ended up doing a trail run, mountain bike, trail run instead. That was fine with Mason; he would rather run than swim. Snow Basin was the perfect backdrop for the race. The trees were changing colors, and the whole area looked amazing. Mason did a great job! I hope he decides to do another one.

Mason had to put his race numbers on his arms in the form of tattoos. He had an extra one, so this is Bailey in the parking lot giving him a tramp stamp. 😂

The trees were so pretty!

The first run section.

Almost to the transition.

Transitioning to the bike.

Go Mason, go!

Coming in to the finish line!

Whahooo!

Crew looking at Mason's medal.

Yay!

Mason's whole family came to watch him! He had a fun fan club!
