We did our Rhode Island dinner at the very end of the month. Rhode Island didn't have a ton of options, so I was worried that this one would be a flop. It ended up being really good. Mark and I made calm cakes, and Jonny cakes. Noah and Joanne did a yummy salad, and Amanda did the dessert.

| The clam cakes turned out really good. We tried them different ways, plain, with malt vinegar, and with tartar sauce. Everyone really liked them! |
| The Jonny cakes were a huge hit! They are basically a corn meal pancake. We ended up serving them with butter and syrup like a traditional pancake, and we also put the huckleberry honey on them that Larry gave us for Christmas. That ended up being the favorite. So good! |
| Noah making a yummy jalapeño popper salad. I was a big fan! |
| Rhode Island is known for their frozen lemonade, so Amanda made a frozen lemonade pie. It was so yummy! |
So all in all, Rhode Island ended up being quite tasty. I've gotten out of my comfort zone twice now with clams, and I'm no longer afraid of them. 😁 Pennsylvania is next, and I'm really excited about that one!
