December Adventures

I didn't do as much running as I wanted to in December, which is a bummer, because we had awesome weather. I usually take December a little easier and just run whatever I want whenever I want. Nothing too long or hard, because I like my body to be fresh and ready to go at the start of the year. My running was cut short from Ace kicking me, and I definitely won't be starting the year hard like I was planning. 😔

Ririe:
I did a lot of road running in December, exploring Ririe. I didn't take picture of most of them, because they were just farm fields. I did a 10 miler, and got a late start so I was out after dark. The sunset was amazing!

I got home after dark, and it was fun seeing the house and barn all lit up for Christmas.

Ashton:
Tonya and I met Joyce in Ashton to run around Joyce's area. Even they didn't have much snow.

Poplar Area:
I did some more Ririe exploring, and covered the Poplar area.

Joyce and I did a run out at the Camas Wildlife Refuge, but I didn't take any pictures.

Wolf Flats:
My final run of the month was on Wolf Flats. It was this same afternoon that I got kicked by Ace. At least I ended my December running on a good one.
On the way there, Mark and I saw three moose out in a field. I think it was the same mom and babies that were in my yard last month.
Joyce, Tonya, Steph, Mark, and I did 15 miles on Wolf Flats along the river. I hadn't run with Steph in ages, so it was fun to catch up and run with her again.

Mark ran the whole way with us. He was only planning on going 8 miles, and then he just kept going.

I love running along the river.

Fingers crossed that I'll be back at it soon. I have a 50k in Arizona in March I need to get ready for.
