A Visit From Craig

Craig came up to run the Palisades Ultra Trail Marathon with Mark. He had never been to Idaho, so we had fun taking him around to some touristy spots. While everyone else was at work on Thursday, I took him down to the Falls.

Idaho Falls

I won tickets to a Chukar's game, but we ended up getting a huge rainstorm, and the streets flooded really bad. The baseball field flooded too, so the game was canceled.

Flooded baseball field!
Friday we took him to Mesa Falls and Bear World.

Feeding the fish on the way to Mesa Falls.

Lower Mesa Falls.

He was excited that he got to see a big group of polygamists at the Lower Falls.

Upper Mesa Falls

Bear World was fun! We drove through twice and spent some time in the petting zoo.

It was super hot, so lots of bears were hanging out in the water.

These big guys were snoozing right next to the road.

This isn't a great picture, but I wanted to show how close this bear got to our car. He walked right up and looked in the window!

He is sniffing our car with his nose!

A couple bears were taking naps in the road, and they weren't about to move for the cars.

This is the sweet grandma deer that kisses people. Last time we visited, she snuck right up behind Bailey and licked her cheek.

A cute mama deer and her two babies.

Craig with the baby deer! So cute!

Here's the Grandma giving kisses again!

We told him to put his cheek down by her. I'm not sure if he believed us that she would lick his face!

The babies are so cute! I loved this little guy just kicking back.

Craig is going to come back in the Fall so we can do more stuff without having to worry about a race. He wants to fish, bike, and do some hiking/trail runs.
