Teton Canyon Camping

We spent a great weekend camping in Teton Canyon. We love that area! It was a weekend filled with lots of hiking and running. On Friday morning we met Nate and Marlese at the trailhead to hike Tablerock. Nate had never done it, and Marlese hadn't done it since she was a teenager. We went up and down the face trail. We had perfect weather, beautiful views, and a great hike!

Tablerock starting to look close, but we had the hardest part left to go!

Almost there!

Nate and Marlese at the top!

I have so many pictures over the years of me standing in this spot. The view never gets old!

The beautiful Tetons.

Our fun campsite! There was a creek behind our site that we walked the dogs along.

Sawyer and Kaija came up on Friday night and brought the puppies.

Campfire!

They love camping sooooo much! We wear them out, so they sleep very good at night.
On Saturday morning I had an 11 mile trail run to do! Not the best thing after hiking Tablerock the day before. My legs were shot, so I struggled on it. We ended up only going 10 miles, but we knew we were doing another hike later that day. The run was up the trail towards Alaska Basin. So pretty in the fall.

We followed this creek on most of our run.

Good times!

Sawyer and Kaija relaxed in the hammock most of the day. At one point a bug was crawling on Sawyer and he freaked out and flailed around so much that he dumped Kaija right out of the hammock. So manly!
Later that day, we took Sawyer and Kaija on a short hike up the same trail we had run up that morning. It's so pretty!

Awe, so cute!

We got lots of these cute visitors to our campsite.
Sawyer and Kaija left on Saturday evening, but Mark and I stayed until Sunday. We don't have church until 1:00, so that works out perfectly on camping weekends. We got up Sunday morning, packed up, and then took the dogs on one final 5 mile hike before we headed home. We explored a new trail that we really liked.

Happy little hikers!
We love this area to camp in and want to go back before the season is over. So many great trails, and a beautiful view of the Tetons.
