Thanksgiving

We thought Thanksgiving might be really sad this year, because we didn't have either of our kids, but it ended up being really fun. Steph didn't have her kids either, so we kicked it off with an early morning run to Upper Palisades Lake. We had perfect conditions, and it was a beautiful run! When we got back, we were starving, so we got ready and set out to find somewhere to go to dinner. Apparently we picked the busiest time to eat, and there were lines out the door for some places, and lots of other places that were supposed to be opened, ended up being closed. I've never gone out to eat on thanksgiving before, so this was all new to me. Eric, Steph, Mark, and I ended up across town at Sharis. After our dinner, we came back and played games and watched a movie. Then Steph made us a chocolate pudding pie for round two of dessert. I missed my kiddos, but it was fun to do something different, and have a low stress, non-cooking day. Maybe this will become our new every other year tradition.
